Leatherman 831102 Multi-Tool Review

[ReviewAZON asin=”B002KKB0AW” display=”inlinepost”] OK, so this isn’t technically “tackle” but it’s definitely worth a review. Having a good multi-tool I believe is very important for anyone into fishing, hunting, or the outdoors in general. I’ve always carried a Leatherman tool, and when I lost mine on the river, it was time for a new one.

I chose to get the 831102 Multi-Tool.

Multi-Tool Features

First off, it’s made of quality stainless steel. If you spend time around the water like I do, this is hugely important.

Next, all of the blades lock into place. I’ve seen some cheaper multi-tools that don’t feature a locking feature. To me, that’s just asking for a blade to close over your fingers.

The next feature of note is the shape and contour of the handles. They are very comfortable in the hand, and the cutouts make it possible to access the tools with gloves on.
