ABT lures has enjoyed success with their Banshee series and are expanding their product offerings this year which will include the new Multi-Rig system or an umbrella rig. Their head comes apart so that the angler can choose how many baits are attached to the rig as well as how many are teasers and how many have hooks.
They mate this rig with a new swimbait that is designed to work with their jig-heads and of course, their multi-rig system.
To enhance these new offerings, they are introducing a new rod series called The Long Distance Series that utilizes micro-guides that are spiral wrapped around the blank called Micro Spiral Technology.
The claim is that this configuration extends casting distance about 10% along with better sensitivity and control of the fish by reducing excess torque off the blank. There are going to be a few different models, each designed to handle specific lures with all these sticks featuring the spiral wrap guides.
To go along with the rods is the new X-2 countdown crankbait. There are two models, rattling and silent that the angler counts down to the depth they want to fish. It is claimed that this plug can get down to the 20 foot level and beyond. ABT is introducing a square-bill in this line.
These come in two models, a suspending and a floating version. Another X-2 labeled bait is the Mini which is said to be the smallest, deepest diver on the market reaching depths of 10 to 12 feet.
With the introduction of these new X-2 plugs, ABT has expanded their line-up of hard baits to give the angler products that can be fished throughout the water column.
