And that number happens to be the amount Dean Rojas won by at the TroKar Battle On The Bayou, beating out Gerald Swindle for the big prize.
Dean did not secure the victory using his trademark frog, but his willingness to change his game plan proved the key component to taking home the $100,000 check.
Dean said he kept it simple, sticking to sight fishing and top water—making liberal use of a SPRO Hydro-Pop in natural shad.
When the top water bite slowed down, he kept sight fishing, but switched to a WarMouth—a bait he designed for a company called Big Bite Baits.
The approach paid off, and we here at MVF congratulate Dean Rojas on a fine Elite Series win.
