ICAST 2011: Snag Proof

Snag Proof has had a reputation for manufacturing quality, affordable products over the years and this year at ICAST they debuted the Bobby’s Perfect Buzz Frog. This floating, hollow body frog has a buzzin’ blade on the front, a double hook on the body of the frog and uses kicking legs on the back as opposed to the standard living rubber legs of most of the hollow body frogs out there.

It will be available in six colors including their most popular patterns. The Buzz Frog was designed to be thrown through sparse vegetation, over grass and on the outside edges of the heavy matted stuff.

The Snag Proof Ish’s Phat Frog will add three colors to the line-up including one that is clear which allows the angler to use it as is or customize it by coloring it themselves. The other color patterns will still be available and the construction will remain the same for the series.

Another addition to the Snag Proof line-up will be a frog designed by Chris Lane named the Guntersville Frog. This bait doesn’t use the standard living rubber legs but rather short plastic  legs that have rattles incorporated into them. This design gives you the sound without filling up the hollow cavity of the frog itself. Theoretically, it also helps eliminate some of the short strikes due to the decreased length of the leg appendages.

See ya’ on the water …
