ICAST 2011: VMC

VMC has debuted several new products at this years show including their Pro Series line of jig heads. The first product in this line is the Pro Series Darter Head. This jig head is distinguished by a small “fin” on the bottom of the head that acts as a keel or skeg if you will, that helps the swimming motion run truer and has a built in keeper system for your soft plastic.

The next product in this line is the Pro Series Half Moon Jig Heads. These were designed to be used in and around rocks and sparse vegetation. Like the darter head, it comes equipped with a keeper system for your soft plastics and is the head of choice for those who like to fish with an exposed hook point.

The final entry into this series is the Pro Series Stand Up Shaky Head. What’s unique about this shaky head jig is the fact that the keeper spring on the VMC is attached with a separate eyelet so that your bait can be rigged to appear more natural and the line won’t get in the way of the plastic of your choice.

VMC is also introducing their own tungsten weights that will come in sizes ranging from 1/16 to 1 1/2 ounces. There is enough selection here to address just about any need you may have for weight depending on the technique you are using.

The new VMC Spinshot is designed to be a free spinning, complete solution for the problems that tend to occur while drop-shotting. The Swivel used in this product is relatively compact but entirely functional.
