Bass Fishing In The Lilypads

I had the opportunity to get out and do some bass fishing on the 22nd this month and couldn’t wait. It’s been an unusually cool spring with very short periods of heat. This day was in the mid-sixties with cloudy skies. I chose a small lake that is close to the house because my time was limited. I couldn’t even get there until a bit after 1:00 pm and had to leave by 7:00 pm. Oh well, at least it was a chance to get out there and see what the bass were doing. If you do a lot of night fishin’ like we do around here, you’re gonna’ have to have a flashlight that you can depend on. Our choice here at MVF is the Mini-Mag from Maglite. This little flashlight runs on 2 AA batteries that have lasted me an entire year now and utilizes a single LED bulb that, for all intents and purposes, never needs replacing. Not bad for around $25.
