Today we’re going to take another swim-bait hook out on the water and see how it performs. As usual, we have our favorite in this category but we do, in the interest of fair play, like to take a look at other competitive offerings. We picked up some Davis Bait X Swim Screw Lock Swimbait Hook.
These hooks are available in hook sizes from 4/0 to 8/0 and in weights from 1/16 to 3/8 which is a wide range of choices. Unfortunately, they don’t have anything smaller than a 4/0 which is a bit limiting for finesse style bait. But let’s see how they perform on the water. [Read more…]

Tonight let’s take a look at a hard bodied swimbait from River2Sea that we picked up recently – the S-Waver. We obtained the 168S in Rainbow trout. This bait is 6 ¾ inches in length and weighs in at 15/8 oz. The S-Waver comes stock with Daichi hooks that are sharp out of the package and ready to fish. [Read more…]

This is the first experience we have had with this company’s products and for our first review on their baits we picked up some Kriet Tail Worms.
