ICAST 2011: Jewel Baits

Jewel Baits is one of those companies who are constantly tinkering with new products and seemingly finding something new every year to expand their product line. This year is no different in that sense as they introduced two new technique specific offerings.

The Flop Top series will include both a football jig and a flipping jig. These baits will both be available with Trokar hooks or the standard needle point. Both use Jewel’s J Lock Keeper for anchoring your trailer and both utilize their skirt material tied in the Flop Top configuration. These jigs are big, brawny baits that are in their element deep in cover and tied to braid. There will be multiple colors for anglers to choose from when they hit the shelves later this year.

ICAST 2011: ZMan

Z Man continues to produce the “Original Chatterbait” but has added four new colors this year giving them well over twenty in all. This vibrating jig has multiple uses and can be rigged with different trailers to address various fishing situations at multiple depths. Or it can be thrown without anything at all to decrease its profile for picky fish. They all come with their own matching, double tail trailer and are available in several weights.  [Read more…]
