Lake Fork, Tx – Brandon Cobb already established himself as someone to watch earlier this year when he won his first Elite Series trophy on Lake Hartwell.
Holding off the field for the wire-to-wire win on his home lake was impressive enough, and announced to the world that he was here to compete.
Just in case there were some folks that weren’t listening, Cobb outdid himself at Texas Fest this weekend, pulling a ridiculous 114 pounds of fish out of Lake Fork.
And just to add insult to injury, he actually caught two fish on one cast at one point.
“When you hit a big school of shad up on one of those shellbeds, I think you pushed the bait up with your boat. When that happened, bass would start blowing up everywhere on the surface.”

On top of catching more than one fish with one cast, he also managed to boat an incredible 11 pound, 1 ounce monster that ranked as the Big Bass of the Week.
For his performance, Cobb took home another oversized check and a brand new Toyota Truck. He’s going to need it too, at this point in the season he’s collecting too much hardware to handle!
